Sponsoring youth football game is always a chance to get boys off the streets. KOI provides uniforms and shoes for young men to come together and compete in a safe environment. It also gives us a chance to mentor them and be a Godly influence to them.
On a recent trip to Jamaica, my wife asked some teens aged 13-16 to write a paper on what makes a good man. Sadly, none of them gave an answer containing important characteristics of a good man. In my opinion, some of those are loyalty, integrity, honor and respect. Having a male organ does not make a good man. Having money does not make a good man. Having lots of kids does not make a good man. However, those were the answers they gave. We try to teach them better, so the streets will not teach them.
